TiHYDP 78. I had trouble sleeping tonight, and I didn't feel like playing video games or reading comics, so I decided to finish my Abridged version (Implying I'll make an unabridged proper version which I don't think I will, but leave a comment requesting it and I might) of TiHYDP Hi-FI Rush. Phil only dies 7 times, but falling out in any platforming counts as a death, but in action games, it's just damage, so I count those as well. I also count Rythm fails, qte fails & parry fails. There wsn't a lot to work with, The source material (Phil's commentary, not the game) is really bad, so it is what it is.
I had no idea that Phil beat this game tonight, or he was even playing it tonight, I just typed in DSPGaming to see his schedule, and saw finale for his Hi-FI Rush playthrough, so I decided to just get it done. It's short, so there's no need to delay it for next week, as I have a very special Valentines Special that isn't a TiHYDP, but it has DSP & John in it, and I would not like to delay it any longer and miss the chance to upload it on that date this Tuesday. I'm way ahead of schedule, as I have roughly 16 or so TiHYDPs already uploaded and scheduled in advanced anyways (Most of those are short ones, but I have a few long ones mixed in) so I might take a break around March to relax, play the new Yakuza & get caught up on some movies & comics.
I think I had my bitrate set too low (or maybe it something else) for 1440p60 (I use 20mbps with 2 pass), I noticed some 1 frame encoding errors, but I also noticed it happening randomly when I was placing time stamps in TiHYDP Hades The Complete Unabridged Version, but that was 1080p60. If it's only for one frame randomly, I could try rendering in 59.94 or 29.97 in the future in Vegas Pro to see if that prevents it from happening, but if it randomly happens for only 1 frame, I'll probably never notice it. It does it on the thumbnail, and I have no reason why in this video, and it's more noticeable, I rendered twice, but Vegas is acting slow for me for some reason when rendering this game and I don't know how to fix that.
I think it's incredibly fucking stupid that if I don't get VP9 encoding, then YouTube will not process 240p & 480p, so I've been rendering in 1440p to force YouTube to encode in Vp9 and get those quality options. I notice other smaller YouTube channels that upload in 1080p will have 240p & 480p missing, but if the views are close to 1k, they get them later on. I noticed that in DaButtHead's TiHYDP Lost Judgment, where when it first came out, it was missing 240p & 480p.
I could have a poll to see if you guys even use 240p & 480p, since I'm worried about my views dropping if those options are missing, I don't think those resolutions are popular, and I want the faster rendering of 1080p over 1440p.
I was reading that uploading in 1152p forces vp9 encoding, so I might test that resolution in the future as an in-between compromise.
