Myanmar Border Crossing Gone Wrong 🇲🇲

Due to the changing political and security situation in Myanmar, entry to the country can be restricted or denied without prior notice. With that knowledge I decided to go anyways. This remote area with limited infrastructure was perfect in my mind for a nice border crossing!

In recent years, the border has become a major route for trade and migration, with thousands of people crossing it daily with the Thai government offering support for new refugees entering the beloved country of Pad Thai and Chang Beer.

In addition to refugees and ethnic minorities, the border is also used for illegal activities such as drug trafficking and human trafficking. The Thai government has implemented measures to combat these activities, but they remain a persistent problem.

Overall, the Thai-Myanmar border remains an important and complex area, with significant cultural, economic, and political connections between the two countries.
