Quick facts about the Eiffel Tower

The Eiffel Tower is a wrought-iron lattice tower located on the Champ de Mars in Paris, France.

It was named after Gustave Eiffel, the engineer who designed and built the tower.

The tower stands at a height of 324 meters and was the tallest man-made structure in the world when it was completed in 1889.

It took two years, two months, and five days to build the Eiffel Tower, and it was completed in time for the 1889 Exposition Universelle (World's Fair).

The tower has three levels for visitors to explore, with the first two accessible by stairs or elevators and the third accessible only by elevator.

It is estimated that more than 250 million people have visited the Eiffel Tower since it opened to the public.

The tower has been featured in numerous films, including "John Wick: Chapter 4" and "Mission: Impossible – Fallout."

Despite initial opposition from many Parisians, the Eiffel Tower has become a beloved symbol of both Paris and France.
