Elon Musk Just CONFIRMED ALL New Tesla Models For 2024!
Under its current five model portfolio, Tesla is able to manufacture more than 1.37 million electric vehicles yearly, far outpacing its rivals. By the end of 2023, Tesla intends to expand beyond its current lineup of five models and create a number of other vehicle lines. Are you excited? And so let’s find out what upgrades and all-new models Tesla could launch before the end of the year!
A new 2023 Tesla vehicle, the Tesla minibus, was influenced by the renowned Volkswagen microbuses. The vehicle is being developed on the Model X chassis, which should make it simpler to put into production, according to Musk, who also confirmed that Tesla will approach this product in this way. Semi-autonomous or completely autonomous vehicles will be used on these buses. Tesla's mini buses will be far smaller than existing buses, in Musk's opinion. By accelerating and braking like a typical car instead of causing traffic congestion like normal buses would, they will reduce congestion.
The Tesla minibus will have its batteries installed on the floor and only a small electric motor at the front, rear, or both, so the cabin space should be better than in a typical minibus, supporting Musk's theory that a number of smaller units could take the place of a larger traditional bus. The concept was supposed to be unveiled in six to nine months, which corresponds to early to late 2023. Consequently, it is thought that production will likely begin within the following three to four years, or between 2023 and 2027.
The second product, which would be the cheapest EV car, would be the Model 2. Elon Musk has stated that the price of the car will be $25,000; however, it is not clear if this figure represents the complete cost or if the potential savings discount is included. While no other EV in North America has quite achieved this price, Tesla highlights it every time. We should anticipate some form of teslified vehicle that resembles a cross between a Model Y and something like a Nissan Leaf or a Volkswagen ID3 because hatchbacks have very specific designs. A certain level of autopilot will also be present in the Model 2.
Elon Musk has stated that the car will be completely driverless. We sincerely doubt that it will attain level 5 autonomy, where the vehicle takes care of everything and a human driver is not required. As for the range, we have just as few definite details, but there are claims that hint it will be powered by the new 4680 battery cells, the same cells planned to be used in the Tesla Cybertruck and the 2022 Model Y. Having said that, Elon Musk has already stated that the standard-range Tesla Model Y, which only had 244 miles of range, would be discontinued in early 2021. Clearly, Musk thinks that anything less than 250 miles is too low.
