Conservative MPs Michael Barrett and Luc Berhold as well as Bloc Québécois MP Christine Normandin speak with reporters on Parliament Hill as Katie Telford, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau's chief of staff, testifies as part of the procedure and House affairs committee’s study of foreign interference in Canada's elections. The Prime Minister's Office agreed on March 21 to allow Telford to testify, ending a filibuster from Liberal members of the committee to prevent a vote on a motion summoning her to appear. The study comes amid media reports of alleged Chinese interference in the 2019 and 2021 Canadian federal elections. (April 14, 2023)
