To the Lighthouse

To the Lighthouse, written by British writer Virginia Woolf (1882 – 1941) came out in 1927. It was one of the first modernist novels. Woolf is known for trying out different ways to tell a story, and To the Lighthouse is no different.

Using stream-of-consciousness writing, the book takes the reader on a trip into the minds of the characters and shows what they are thinking and feeling.
