In a regional Republican Party meeting in Queens, New York earlier this month, New York City City Council District 23 candidate Bernard Chow said that his platform is achieving a balanced government in the city. "Right now, everything, every layer, every level of the city government or even state government is Democrat majority," he said. "That means that they make all the decisions, they make all the call within themselves, closed door without us letting the people know about it." He said that Democrat majority should be broken in the city to strike that kind of balance. He also said that the public is getting tired of the Democratic Party as it is "so extreme already." He also expressed concern about public safety and vowed to make the city safer if elected.
