The Pelicans Have A Zion Williamson Problem...

The Pelicans won’t see the postseason, and the biggest reason why is the availability of their franchise superstar Zion Williamson. He’s a fantastic talent. His first year, played 24 out of the possible 72 games. Next season he played 61. Missed all of last season, just played 29 games this year. He's missed 169 games in his career and hasn't played at least 40% of his games. The Pelicans played their most crucial game of the season against the Oklahoma City Thunder on Wednesday. Zion, who has been out of the lineup since January due to a hamstring injury, was seemingly physically able to play but decided not to as he and his camp felt that he wasn’t going to be the best version of himself. While his reason was somewhat valid, it’s still a cause of concern, especially for a superstar to sit out the most important game of the season. If anything, it’s a significant concern not just for the present but for as long as Williamson is with the organization. There’s no doubt that the number 1 pick in the 2019 NBA Draft is as talented as advertised, but he’s also proven that his health can’t be depended on moving forward. The New Orleans Pelicans have a Zion Williamson problem.

Think about subbing, I'm on the road to 7k!!!
