BIKE CHASE: Motorcyclist Trying To Dodge Toll Jailed After Running Into Police Officer

A motorcyclist in Florida, Matthew Price, was arrested after attempting to elude a traffic stop by K-9 Corporal Calvin Batts in Ocala, Florida on the 7th of April 2023.

Price was initially pulled over due to a missing license plate, which he later admitted to removing to avoid paying tolls. Instead of stopping, Price tried to drive away from Corporal Batts, weaving through traffic and striking the officer with his motorcycle as he tried to cut him off.

Price was arrested for trying to elude a law enforcement officer and now faces a third-degree felony charge. If convicted, he could face up to five years in prison, a $5,000 fine, a mandatory driver's license suspension, and a mandatory adjudication of guilt.
