In the movie "Death of Superman," the Man of Steel faces his most formidable adversary yet, the deadly and colossal alien known as Doomsday. However, what many comic enthusiasts may not realize is that this conflict bears a striking resemblance to the ultimate battle between the archangel Michael and his nemesis, the archangel of death Azazel. The death and rebirth of Superman also share similarities with the death and resurrection of Christ, with various religious scholars positing that Christ is none other than Michael himself, embodied in human form. The name Michael, which means "He who is like God" in Hebrew, suggests a close, almost father-son-like bond between God and his Chief of Angels.

Could it be that Superman was the brainchild of creators Jerry Siegel and Joe Schuster, both of whom were Jewish, as a means of expressing their admiration for Christ without violating their religion's stance that Christ was not the Messiah?
