Here is the Abridged version of me & ErikH526's DSSpeedrun of Super Mario 3D World where I speed up all the stalling Mahdern Phil does. This video is 30 minutes instead of 72 minutes like the original

In this video, I showcase 3 playthroughs at once. Top Left corner is the Co-op online I did with ErikH526 (I used his footage with his permission link will be shown later in this Description). Top Right is the 2014 DSP & John Co-op Playthrough. Bottom Left is the 2021 DSP Playthrough. Bottom Right is the timer timing 2021 DSP. This Video cover World 1 using the Rules of DSSpeedrun. DSSpeedrun rules don't apply to 2014 DSP & John playthrough because they play just as bad as 2021 Phil.

Big ups to ErikH526 for letting me use his footage since I didn't record our Co-op session.

4 Basic Rules of DSSpeedrun

1. You have to start playing once Phil starts gameplay. You cannot start once while he is at the options menu or at any creation menus at the beginning of the game

I try to sync Mine and Erik's Co-op to not start until Phil starts the 1st level, and it pauses whenever Phil pauses.

2. You cannot skip any cutscenes even if Phil skips cutscenes.

Mario 3d world barely has any cutscenes, though I have no footage of the opening, I downloaded someone else's recording (you can barely even tell since it's always the same) to use as my own, but I will source it later in description.

3. You cannot continue while Phil has the controller down. You must pause your game until Phil picks up controller.

This one was tricky to emulate since you can't see Phil's hands, but I can easily tell when Phil is reading tips or shoutouts and his character is standing still.

4. You must stop once Phil has completed the first level or mission no matter how short it may be.

Decided to bend this rule to be first world instead of first level.
