Ian Clark: "Certain seafoods, they'll have more or less iodine or iodide in that food. But then the oceans are super contaminated. So heavy metals using coal to produce electricity releases mercury into the atmosphere. And that goes in.
Well, iodine deals with mercury, it goes in and reacts with it and helps the body rid itself of mercury. But there's a list of 1000 things in the air we breathe alone that goes in and plugs us up. So iodine is critical path."
