"Traditional philosophy of science, as well as critiques of the division (+failures of) natural science vs. social/human science, take for granted and cover-over the pre-theoretical experience of reality that is prior to both undertakings. Because both have time as their horizon and condition of possibility, H. thinks an application of the phenomenological method to time is necessary to re-think what it means to be. Before the sciences of “Nature vs. History” are the phenomena of Being and Time. H.’s History of the Concept of Time is the lecture series he gave right before writing Being and Time. The first few chapters are the best introduction to B&T you’ll get. Which is why I’ll be doing some lectures on it to prepare for B&T this summer! Stay tuned!"
