Dashcam Shows Troopers Chasing Suspects Attempting To Smuggle Illegal Immigrants in Texas

(Disclaimer: This video content is intended for educational and informational purposes only) * Kinney County, Texas — On April 7, 2023, at around 9 a.m. a Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) trooper assigned to Operation Lone Star attempted to stop a gray Toyota sedan on U.S. Highway 90 in Kinney County, Texas, for a traffic violation. But the driver refused to stop and a pursuit began. During the pursuit, a suspect tried to drive through a gate, which caused the Toyota to stall. The driver and a passenger tried to take off on foot but were quickly taken into custody by Texas DPS troopers. While searching the vehicle, troopers discovered six illegal immigrants, including two inside the trunk, from Guatemala, Honduras and Ecuador. Two handguns were also found inside the vehicle during the search. The DPS identified the driver as 26-year-old Donald Graves and the passenger as Najoua Harris, 25. Both men are from Louisiana. Graves and Harris are facing federal smuggling charges, according to authorities. Texas DPS confirmed that Graves is a member of a gang in Baton Rouge.
