Rare Cold War-era nuclear fallout shelter in Germany listed for sale on eBay for $1.65 million

A nuclear fallout shelter in Xanten, Germany, built during the Cold War, has been listed for sale on eBay for a staggering $1.65 million. The bunker is designed to withstand a nuclear attack and comes equipped with ten-foot-thick walls and a sanitation system, a generator, an electrical system, a control panel, water and oil tanks, steel doors, and a warehouse.

The bunker served as a base for various operations by the German Armed Forces and offers 9,150 square feet of protected space within its formidable walls. Aside from its historical and potential security value, the bunker could also serve more contemporary purposes such as a paintball facility or even commercial operations, given its size and structure. The sale includes various documents such as circuit diagrams, cable harnesses, documentation, site plans, and cross-sections.
