How to Save Exhausted Bees: David Attenborough's Simple Solution
The bee population has reportedly decreased by a third in the past five years, making their preservation a pressing concern. Naturalist and documentary narrator David Attenborough shared a simple yet effective solution to help bees in need on his Instagram account. He suggested that exhausted bees, who often appear to be dying or dead, can be revived by mixing two tablespoons of white granulated sugar with one tablespoon of water and placing it on a spoon for the bee to access.
Attenborough's call to action has sparked enthusiasm among social media users, who have shared their own bee-saving efforts and tips. Some have recommended planting flowers and plants that attract bees, while others have shared their experiences of offering sugar water and even capturing the moment on video. With just a few tablespoons of sugar and water, anyone can play a part in preserving these vital pollinators and safeguarding our own survival.
