Varget and 7.62x51 Load Testing – PSA AR-10 (18 inch barrel)

Testing out some handloads using Varget Powder, Lake City Demilled Brass, and Hornady 150gr FMJ Demilled (pulled) bullets. Pretty inexpensive rounds to make, was able to get some great accuracy at 100-yards w/these components. Here were the loads tested:

Varget 44.6 grain = 2638 fps average
Varget 44.9 grain = 2660 fps average
Varget 45.3 grain = 2682 fps average
Varget 45.6 grain = 2702 fps average
Varget 45.9 grain = 2726 fps average

I compared to some Patriot Defense 308 Win Reman and some ZSR SAR 7.62x51 Factory Ammo to give you an idea on groups.

LOVE the Varget powder and can’t wait to work up some more loads w/different bullet configurations.
