Rising Up in Rio: The Prologue of Brazil's Independence

So I mentioned in the video about Tiradentes that he was hung, drawn and quartered for having plotted the very first attempt at turning Brazil into and independent republic.
But on purpose, I saved the actual explanation of how such a rebellion happened in the first place for this very video. So think of this as the part of the story which happened before his arrest and execution. All to think that, much like the american revolution, all of this began because of TAXES.
Btw, I know normally the videos are about things that happened in the city of Rio and showing historic sites of Rio, but on this video we're gonna have to travel further into the interior of Brazil as I show you the historic sites of Ouro Preto (then Vila Rica) which is in the state of Minas Gerais, known for actual good and wholesome meals and where the famous Brazilian cheese bread is actually from.
