Texas DA says it’s “pretty clear” Gov. Abbott did not watch Daniel Perry trial

Texas District Attorney Jose Garza told CNN Wednesday it’s “pretty clear” Governor Greg Abbott and his staff did not watch the Daniel Perry trial before issuing a request for an expedited pardon. On April 7, a Texas county jury found Daniel Perry, a U.S. Army sergeant and Uber driver, guilty of murder for killing a Black Lives Matter protestor in July 2020.
