Florida executes ‘ninja killer’ for couple’s 1989 death

On Wednesday, the state of Florida put to death Louis Bernard Gaskin, who was also known as the “ninja killer”, for the murder of a New Jersey couple in 1989.

Robert Sturmfels, 56, and Georgette Sturmfels, 55, were killed by Gaskin in their winter home in Flagler County on the northeastern coast of Florida, the Associated Press reported.

According to the governor’s office, Gaskin was pronounced dead at 6:15 p.m. after receiving a lethal injection.
