Pokemon Gold Alt Main Speedrun (Gyarados) Red Fight (Commentated)

I felt it was worth commentating this fight in-depth to demystify what I am doing.

Still isn't quite a full 30% chance to win (maximum possible because Turn 1 Thunder must miss), but I think I can fix that, and it's quite close to it. Range seems like it's slightly favorable, but I couldve just gotten bad luck before it (missed the range like 10 times in a row before this fight)

Why the shiny gyarados? Primarily for two reasons:
- In top level runs it is caught anyway as something to teach Whirlpool and Waterfall to (caught with an LID manipped master ball)
- I have a hunch that if one were to hack this gyarados to not be shiny it would be faster than running with the starter.

I will be formulating route notes sometime within the coming weeks so others can join in. This route is very fun, which I value in an alt main run.
