HVC La Rosa 520 Rare of Rare Cigar Review - This 6x52 torpedo stick features a dark cocoa mottled wrapper with a dense pack, firm pack, very oily fine tooth feel and a cocoa and hay aroma. First light reveals a full bodied very deep pepper and wood combo with the pepper hanging through the long warm finish, but with no texture or spice. Draw is perfect and smoke production thick and rich. The first third burns a little wonky, with body down to a medium, the pepper especially mellowing and the addition of a dark slightly sweet caramel joining in. The 1/2 way point comes at 35 minutes with the pepper down even more, the addition of a leather note and the body up a tick again to medium-full. Ending at 1:15 the last third burned slower, holding all the same notes to the nub.
