After The Resurrection - 1

Acts 1:3 tells us that Jesus appeared to the disciples in many ways after His resurrection from the dead and before His ascension to the Father. What did He do during that 40-day period? You might be surprised how much He did and said. One of the interesting stories involves how Jesus set up a situation where Peter could receive redemption for his betrayal.

One of the curious things we see is that Jesus showed His resurrected body only to people who knew Him before His death. Why did He not show Himself to some of the religious leaders of the day, or to Herod, or to the Jewish historian of the day, Josephus? Many books have been written about proof of the resurrection, but a simple visit by Jesus with a prominent leader of the day would have sealed the deal and left irrefutable proof behind. But, Jesus didn’t do that. Why? This teaching provides a theory.
