GANGS OF LAGOS

"Gangs of Lagos" centers around a group of friends living in the Isale Eko area of Lagos, Nigeria, whose lives are entrenched in crime and violence. The plot follows Obalola, a young boy who, along with his friends, steals a bag from a woman in traffic, ultimately garnering the attention of the "street leader." Impressed by Obalola's confidence and abilities, the gang leader named 'Nino' (played by Tayo Faniran) takes the young boy under his wing and becomes a father figure to him after Obalola leaves his mother to live with Nino. Nino has aspirations for Obalola to attend school and achieve greatness in life, standing by him as a paternal mentor.

Unfortunately, Nino's death thwarts Obalola's dreams, as well as those of his friends, Ify (Played by Chike) and Gift (played by Adesua Etomi). The trio is forced to work with Nino's partner, Kazeem (played by Olarotimi Fakunle), a greedy and ruthless leader. When Kazeem murders a gang member and places the blame on Ify, the latter is brutally killed, sending Obalola into a vengeful spiral. As he seeks retribution, Obalola uncovers dark truths about Kazeem's past actions, leading to a bloody feud and rampant violence in the streets of Isale Eko.
