Kate Cheka began stand-up in Berlin where she hosted a femme-identifying open mic and a women of colour showcase. A BBC New Comedy Award semi-finalist 2022 and Funny Women semi-finalist 2021 and 2022, a finalist in the 2019 Berlin New Stand-up Awards and a nominee in the BBC Introducing New Comedy Award in the same year. Described as having 'stylish comedy delivered with a great blend of joy and disdain' she makes comedy to spite someone who once said 'I thought you were more fun'.
