NOAA G4 High Altitude Sampling Jet

Ride along with me aboard the NOAA G4 Sampling Jet on a mission around Hurricane Katrina - Aug. 26, 2005. Flight Director Paul Flaherty describes the mission and and its support role to the National Hurricane Center. Our flight gathered critical information for the 8pm model run. At 11pm the NHC predicted Hurricane Katrina would strike on the LA/MS border 2.5 days later - which was indeed the case. Filmed by Jim Edds of extremestorms.com
