NTCA Technical Committee Roundtable - Episode 3: The NTCA Reference Manual

One of the key ways the NTCA serves as the voice of the contractor is through the work of the NTCA Technical Committee. In 1985 the focus of the technical committee mortared its mission: to identify the causes of common tile and stone installation failures and work to establish preventive actions and solutions to those issues.

Today, the mission remains steadfast, but the size and scope of the NTCA Technical Committee has expanded to meet the demands of a growing and dynamic industry. The Reference Manual, too, has expanded to reflect the ever changing challenges and needs of the contractor in the field.

Getting that information into the contractor’s hands is a sizeable undertaking for volunteers and staff. And, as Chris Woelfel explains, thanks to a team of dedicated NTCA trainers in the field, the work of the NTCA Technical Committee greatly benefits association members.
