Speaking at a press conference in Washington D.C. Tuesday, Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen said the U.S. economy is performing “exceptionally well” with strong consumer spending, decreasing inflation, and continued job creation. “I’m not anticipating a downturn in the economy, although of course that remains a risk,” said Sec. Yellen.
