We’re setting up our Hovabator Incubator!

1. Follow the instructions that come with your incubator to set it up successfully!
2. Be sure to monitor humidity and temperature daily and adjust as necessary.
3. If you want, pick up some add-ons including humidity/temperature gauges and an egg turner (some kits come with these things though).
4. Turn on your incubator and establish temperature BEFORE adding eggs.
5. Use only home grown/local eggs where a rooster is present for fertilization and eggs that still have the bloom on them. Washing removes the bloom and allows bacteria access inside the shell. You might end up with some stinkers!
6. Mark eggs for turning. Turn 2-3 times daily if you do not have an automatic egg turner.
7. Chicken eggs hatch in 19-21 days! Get ready for some cute little fluff balls!
