This is a very simple and easy to use breathing technique to help you relax, de-stress and reduce anxiety levels. This is called diaphragmatic breathing, whereby you consciously control how you breathe by using your diaphragm.

You consciously breathe more deeply and effectively while engaging in diaphragmatic breathing. Sometimes you may not fully utilise your lungs when you breathe normally. However, you can improve and maximise lung efficiency by using your lungs to their fullest extent with diaphragmatic breathing.

There are many advantages for your body using this breathing technique, including to help lower blood pressure, slow the heartbeat, and bring about increased relaxation. It is especially helpful to help you during times of stress or if you are worried, fearful, preparing for exams, a meeting, an interview, or if you are feeling in any way anxious.
