In 2019, the Baylor Lady Bears basketball team, who were the NCAA champions that year, visited the White House and met with President Donald Trump. During the visit, President Trump congratulated the team on their victory and praised their accomplishments.
The Lady Bears were the first women's basketball team to visit the White House during the Trump administration. The visit was part of a longstanding tradition of NCAA champions visiting the White House to be recognized for their achievements.
