People who hold a bachelor’s degree earn over 40% more than those who do not.
Student debt reached $1.6 trillion in the United States which is 60% more than what is owed on credit cards. The number of Americans enrolled in computer Science has more than doubled in the last decade.
Americans studying English and history has fallen by about 25%. Some universities have begun to stop offer certain liberal arts majors.
The United States government should provide statistics about how much graduates from different degrees at different universities make but there are laws against this kind of federal data-crunching. In addition, the government should be more prudent about allowing federal loan dollars to finance at universities. Universities resist these kinds of reforms. That status quo is allowing too many students to fall prey to unscrupulous universities and allowing them to jack up tuition rates.
