Welcome to Harry S Truman National Historic Site
Harry S Truman National Historic Site
From 1945 to 1953, 219 North Delaware Street in Independence, Missouri, was one of the most famous addresses in the world. The President of the United States lived there, with his First Lady, his First Daughter, and an extended family. On January 20, 1953, President Harry S Truman left the presidency, and he and Bess Wallace came home. It now belongs to you.
You can also walk the grounds of the Truman Farm in Grandview, visit their family Farm Home, and learn where Harry Truman gained his common sense.
