Louis Daguerre invented his Daguerrotype camera in 1839 and changed the way we see faces forever. An instant success, his pioneering spirit led to the development of modern photography. Before Daguerre, you could never see your parents when they were young. After, you could freeze time and create a permanent image that would last for years.
