This is the incredible moment an injured hiker gets airlifted out of a canyon after she fell and broke her ankle.

The Snohomish County Helicopter Rescue Team successfully rescued the girl who injured herself while on a hike at Robe Canyon Trail, in the US State of Washington on 26th April.

After being notified of the incident, deputies, search and rescue (SAR) volunteers, and a USFS officer responded to the area on foot and located the young woman.

The SnoHawk10 helicopter was then deployed and used a hoist to extract the patient over 200 feet into the air.

The injured hiker was then flown to Providence Regional Medical Centre for further medical treatment.

This successful rescue mission is just one of many undertaken by the Snohomish County Helicopter Rescue Team in their efforts to save lives and assist those in need.
