Dear Pastor Bob: I first wanna say "thank you" for what you do. Keep up the good work! I have been a metalhead since I was very young. I came to Christ when I was 14 years old. I didn’t really get committed to Him though until I got out of high school but have been ever since. I go to a church that is against most genres of music including Contemporary Christian music. They only accept conservative Christian music. For me, I was never able to get rid of listening to metal although I tried many times. After careful study of God’s Word, I realized that I am not in sin for listening to this music and there are bigger problems out there. Now I am married with three kids and one on the way. My wife is also against this music (like the church we go to) and I have been hiding my musical interest for some time now. I know I need to speak to her about this and no longer keep this a secret. What advice can you give about talking to her about it? I am nervous about doing this since I am not sure how she will react.
