Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has condemned Russian air strikes carried out during the Orthodox Church’s observance of Palm Sunday.

Russia has destroyed a depot containing 70,000 tonnes of fuel near the southeastern Ukrainian city of Zaporizhzhia, the Russian defense ministry said on Sunday.

It also said Russian forces had destroyed Ukraine army warehouses storing missiles, ammunition and other artillery weapons in the Zaporizhzhia and Donetsk regions.

Several blasts were heard in the city of Zaporozhye overnight, Vladimir Rogov, who heads the We Stand With Russia movement, reported.

"At 01:47 am, there were a number of loud explosions in the regional center, temporarily occupied by the regime [of Ukrainian President Vladimir] Zelensky," he wrote on his Telegram channel. "They were heard in different areas of the city, with the loudest of them being in the Zavodskoy and the Shevchenkovsky districts," he specified.

Rogov promised to provide details later.

The Russian forces have destroyed the bridge across the Sudost River on the border of Chernihiv region in Ukraine and Bryansk region in Russia.
