Glen is an adventure motor biker and van lifer who travels the USA in his Tenere bike and Ford Van conversion.

Glen Comeaux is a retired US Air Force Master Sergeant who put 40k+ miles on a couple of cruisers during the 22 years between his deployments to 20+ countries. In 2009 he caught the adventure bug after meeting Simon and Lisa Thomas of 2 Ride the World and then watching Charlie and Ewan on The Long Way Round and The Long Way Down. He bought his first adventure bike: a used ’09 Kawasaki KLR.

Motorcycle training and safety are a high priority for active duty service members, so Motorcycle Safety Foundation (MSF) courses are a way of life, as is ATGATT (All The Gear All The Time). Glen has completed several MSF courses and was even the motorcycle safety representative for his unit. The adventure training started at a great local school, Puget Sound Safety Off Road (PSSOR), where he took Off-Road 201, the Off-road 101 instructor course, and the weekend-long Adventure Camp.

After retiring from the Air Force in 2011 and patiently waiting for the release of the Yamaha Super Tenere, Glen finally got his hands on a 2012 from Jeff Anderson at Sportland Yamaha in Cle Elum, Washington. His Super Tenere has accrued over 87,000miles and has been an awesome machine.

With the introduction of the (long awaited)2020 Tenere 700, Glen was able to secure one of the first to hit the US.

He’s off traveling the US in the Yamahauler! A.k.a Ford Van where he does vanlife as well.

Soon after acquiring the Super Tenere, Glen and a handful of Tenere owners sought out each other in the area through the Yamaha Super Tenere Forum. The first meeting was at co-founder Jeff Haar’s house in Issaquah, WA, with seven bikes taking a ride up the North Fork of the Snoqualmie River Road and returning for a BBQ. The PNWSTOG Facebook group was started and now has almost 300 members of Tenere owners from all over the Northwest. The intent behind the PNWSTOG is to meet up with other Adventure riders to simply go for a ride and have fun.
