Arnold’s parents were extremely strict and Arnold’s older Meinhard brother was favored by his their dad. The family grew up with little to spare. As a boy Arnold was mediocre academically, but excelled both in athletics and popularity.

He was born Arnold Alois Schwarzenegger in Thal, Styria, Austria on July 30th 1947.
