San Diego Road Trip to CA from Tx and back in ONE WEEK | Truck Camping March 2023

I went on an impromptu road trip to CA. I had planned on camping out of my truck along the way but unfortunately it was still too cold (for me), but I had all my stuff with me just in case. I took three long driving days to get to San Diego but stretched out the drive to four days on the way back, so it didn't feel so much like a slog. The extra day allowed a little more time to enjoy the drive. Camping is fun but it's the drive I really wanted. It brings me joy to put on some good music and cruise down a long stretch of road, especially a road with very little traffic.

I didn't have a whole lot of time to hang around in the places I went but I did manage to squeeze in about an hour or so of sightseeing in Tombstone, AZ on the way back. I am planning and preparing to do some actual truck camping this summer when it's a little warmer. Possible states I might be in are New Mexico, Arizona, Colorado and Utah.
