WHITESNAKE released their self-titled studio album in 1987. When DAVID COVERDALE and John Sykes teamed up to produce an album together. everyone knew the end result was destined for greatness

Unfortunately, once the recording process was over, Coverdale made the decision to fire the entire band over "personal differences.

Realizing that the album was going to be a big seller, David recruited the talents of Adrian Vandenberg, Vivian Campbell, Rudy Sarzo, and Tommy Aldridge to play on the supporting tour

Notwithstanding the inner turmoil, Whitesnake peaked at #2 on the Billboard 200 and has since been certified 8x platinum by the RIAA

Fun fact you may not have known: "Here I Go Again" and "Crying in the Rain" were previously recorded with a different line-up and released on Saints and Sinners in 1982 and "Still of the Night" was loosely based on a demo that Coverdale recorded with Ritchie Blackmore when he was in Deep Purple.
