Searching With Police For Ricky Walker | MISSING 29 Years In this video I went searching down in the Everglades of Florida for missing person Ricky Walker. Our first searches ended up being quite dangerous as we ran into several alligator scares and other dangerous occurrences while out on the water.

About This Case:
Ricky was last seen by a friend around 11:30 p.m. on the 19th of June, 1993 at the West Winds Trailer Park in East Naples (41 East, south of 951). His vehicle has never been recovered. Ricky was 33 years old at the time of his disappearance. #coldcase #missongperson #police

Since his home was in Golden Gate Estates, one might think Walker, 33 at the time, might have driven off into one of the many canals lining the roadways on the possible routes from his friend's trailer in West Winds Estates to his home on 10th Avenue N.E. That was almost 18 years ago..

However, that's not the case with Walker, said Maria Butrico, an investigator with the Collier County Sheriff's Office's Major Crimes Bureau.

"It was a theory. We checked all the canals right away ... and several times since," Butrico said.

There were four vehicles pulled from canals alonge the way since 1993, she said, but his wasn't one of them.

In an effort to develop new leads, the Sheriff's Office is featuring the case as part of an ongoing push to generate renewed attention to some of its cold cases.

Walker was last believed to be sleeping on the couch in his friend's trailer in West Winds after getting a ride in his own car from friend Don Stacy because Walker had too much to drink that night, Stacy told police. Walker passed out in the car, a 1978 Oldsmobile Cutlass, so Stacy left him there and went into brother John Stacy's trailer to sleep.

It's believed that Walker came in later and went to sleep on the couch at about 11:30 p.m. on June 19, 1993. However, he and his car weren't there when the Stacy's woke up the next morning on June 20. They haven't seen Walker since.
