The one technique I would like to share is not really a secret — only that it is not as widely known or used due to how difficult it is to be mastered by the typical PUBG Mobile player who plays on a regular basis. The technique is called moving while shooting continuous rounds. Players can benefit from it by becoming more elusive when shooting continuously. While they are dealing damage, their enemies will have a much harder time hitting the player who is moving and shooting at the same time.

In order to move and shoot at the same time, you have to start your movement with the left virtual joystick on the phone. Then, right after or at the same time as starting your movement, press and hold the right trigger button and drag your right thumb as necessary to aim at the target. You can elect to move in zig-zag manner or simply strafe only towards one side without changing direction. While zig-zagging can make it difficult to be hit, you might also struggle to hit the enemy due to rapid changes in direction. With strafing in one direction, you are easier to hit, but you are still elusive and can also land shots more easily.

Although I do not play the game anymore because I would prefer not to waste 30+ minutes per round, I had lots of fun playing the game, especially after mastering this technique. This “move and shoot at the same time” technique elevated my success in the game to many levels higher than before I incorporated it to my skill set. It only takes about a few hours to configure all the buttons to fit with each other and practice in training mode. If you conceptualize what you need to do first, practice different move combos, and then try them in rounds that matter to your statistics, it should not take long to master and every bit of effort will be worth it.

Including this technique in your arsenal of skills can propel the player to become lethal in close and midrange combat. When 2 foes shoot each other from midrange distance, players usually move until they find the spot to hide and shoot from. They don’t expect each other to move very much when they exchange fire. Therefore, if you can move and shoot for midrange combat, the opponent will likely be dead, from standing still to focus on shooting, before they realize they need to move to avoid damage. For close combat, make sure initial aim speed, aiming while running, and running movement are all solid to deal damage as fast as possible while minimize damage to yourself.

After mastering the technique, I was able to sometimes engage 2 enemies in open field at midrange combat. Whenever they kill me, it is understandable to lose in a 1 on 2 fight. If I kill both, that of course was impressive. For 1 on 1 duels in close or midrange combat, I estimate that I had a success rate of between 70–85%. If an enemy was forced to engage up close, he was likely as good as dead. Many chicken dinners were won with this technique. In terms of terrain, I applied it to open fields, crowded spaces, and smoke grenade clouds alike. The skill can also be applied equally to when you move first, your opponent moves first, or when both sides move at roughly the same time. It really helps to be able to rush into a hiding spot while the enemy is cowering there waiting for the safe zone to shift or praying for hostiles to move to another area.

The “move and shoot at the same time” skill is my favorite in the entire game. I feel it had the most dramatic impact on my success and satisfaction. I have no doubt it can take any player to many light years above where they were before mastering it.
