A group of veterinary medicine students from two different Namibian universities collaborate to learn about wildlife conservation through practical field work at a private game reserve, in this educational documentary hosted by Dr. Mark Jago.
The documentary takes place at the Etosha Heights Private Game Reserve, where students from the School of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Namibia and the NUST Biodiversity Research Centre are collaborating to gain practical experience in wildlife conservation. Hosted by Dr. Mark Jago, the students assist with collaring a springbok, the first animal of the operation, while learning about the objectives of the OYRCS Project. Through interviews with Dr. Ortwin Aschenborn and Dr. Morgan Hauptfleisch, viewers gain insight into the collaboration between the two universities and the Giraffe Conservation Foundation, and how it's helping to achieve the project's goals. This exciting and educational documentary offers a unique glimpse into the world of wildlife conservation and the role of veterinary medicine in preserving Namibia's natural heritage.
