Rounded shoulders might lead to shoulder impingement. Here’s How.
👉 Rounded shoulder can force the head of the humerus to move forward and down on the glenoid fossa. This in turn, forces the scapula to move up and forward on the ribcage.

👉 This will naturally happen because we tend to use the muscles in the front of the body more than the back, which forces the muscles like the pecs, ant delts, and more, to pull the joints to the front of the body.

👉 Now shoulder impingement is basically when there’s compression on the tissues inside the joint because the head of the humerus is pulled out of place. And this is usually because of your fascia and muscles pulling your shoulder joint forward.

👉 On top of that, both conditions force the body to have limited external rotation and shoulder flexion. Plus we also have these studies below that shows some kind of relationship between the 2.
