Mark and Sean discussed the role of the media in dividing people and the changes in the news industry over time. They agreed that the news used to be delivered objectively without a ton of opinions and political views. Nowadays, cable news networks deliver slanted views, and news has become more like infotainment. They also mentioned the lack of accountability in the media and the rise of independent media sources. Mark lamented that politicians from both sides need to work together for the good of the country, and Sean suggested that we need a quick bump start to jumpstart the situation. Despite all the craziness, they both agreed that people need to stay focused and continue to be good individuals.
