Welcome back. Great is His faithfulness.

NOTE: Greek word of the day- κνήθω knḗthō, knay'-tho; from a primary κνάω knáō (to scrape); to scratch, i.e. (by implication) to tickle:—X itching.
2 Timothy 4:3
For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers;

SEE THIS NOTE: I also made a mistake in my readings of Matthew 21:1-11, I read Revelation 21:12 when it was supposed to have been Revelation 21:2, I corrected myself in the video.

Matthew 21:1-11- PALM SUNDAY: The Messianic Kingdom

Christ's triumphal entry into Jerusalem is celebrated by the Church on Palm Sunday. Jewish nationalism wanted the messiah to be both a political leader and a great military leader who would crush the Romans and ending the Roman occupation and tyranny. They wanted the messiah to reestablish David's kingdom. Jesus came in humility not to establish an earthly kingdom, but His eternal kingdom which will have no end. Note Jesus does not ride on a horse or even in a chariot, but on a DONKEY- a sign of humility and peace.
The Coming King
9 “Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion!Shout, O daughter of Jerusalem!Behold, your King is coming to you;He is just and having salvation,Lowly and riding on a donkey,A colt, the foal of a donkey.
Zechariah 9:9
The entrance into the Holy City is declaring the establishment of the Kingdom of God that was preached it was at hand. It is also a promise of Christ's final entrance into the heavenly Jerusalem with all believers and of His accepting the New Jerusalem as His pure Bride (Revelation 21:2).
Revelation 21:2
Then I, [a]John, saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.

Matthew in v. 2 reports both a colt and a donkey. The two animals are seen by the Fathers representing the faithful Jews and Gentiles.
See v. 8: The people who SPREAD THEIR CLOTHES is paying reverence to a King. According to the commentary of the Orthodox study Bible is also seen as a spiritual interpretation the need to lay down our flesh, and indeed our very lives, for Christ.
See v. 9- this cry comes from Psalm 117:25-26: "O Lord save us now; O Lord, prosper us now. Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord; we blessed you from the house of the Lord.

Philippians 4:4-9 "How to handle daily pressures of life"
How do we do this? It's starts with faith THAT THE LORD IS AT HAND, always present with us (v. 5), refusing to worry, BEING ANXIOUS FOR NOTHING (v. 6)- PRAYER (v. 6)- THANKSGIVING TO GOD (v. 6)- always meditate on which is good and virtuous (v. 8)- and always imitate the godly (v. 9).

"Christ is truly a relationship and less about religion, and St. Paul gives us the secret to contentment seen in vv. 10-13 here Philippians 4."

John 12:1-18- "Jesus anointed for His Burial"
I spoke about the greed and envy of Judas Iscariot. I also mentioned that Judas had the best Teacher and yet he still betrayed Jesus. Judas is an example of how none of us are immune to falling away from God. Up above in Philippians 4 we see how we can avoid ending up like Judas, it starts with a true relationship with our Lord. Judas could never seem to be content, the Spirit is willing but the flesh is weak. See my teaching video for full discussion. Other sources for this includes Matthew 26:6-13; John 6:11; Mark 6:7; John 13:5- Jesus washes the feet of His disciples including Judas. (John 13:26- Mystical Supper).

Numbers 6:24-26
“The Lord bless you and keep you;

25 The Lord make His face shine upon you,

And be gracious to you;

26 The Lord [a]lift up His countenance upon you,

And give you peace.” ’
