Before Anthony & Ian had their own Feature Length Film, Before Smosh became the most Subscribed Youtube Channel on three separate occasions, Before the two became some of the biggest celebrities generation zed.

Anthony Padilla was born on
September 16, 1987 in Sacramento California. Anthony stated that his parents divorced when he was a two and both parent remarried. Anthony has two younger Step Brothers and a younger Step Sister from his parents 2nd marriages.

Anthony said that he had no further educational plans and had no idea on what to do with his life until he started to earn money on YouTube. Before there was a partner program he would design websites for his friends and earn enough to pay for gas and car insurance.

Ian Andrew Hecox was born November 30, 1987 also in Sacramento California and is two and half months younger then his business partner. His mother and father are together and he has two siblings, one of which is a younger sister.
Ian revealed in an interview that he was more of an outsider in high school and was kind of the emotional type. Him and Anthony had crossed paths first meeting in a sixth grade science class. It wasn’t until highschol at Del Campo in Fair Oaks, California where he joined Anthony’s group of friends.

After graduating, they both attended American River College in Sacramento where Ian ran track even though he suffers from Asthma on top of that he also had ADHD.
