SAN ANGELO, TX — The 7th Performance of the 91st Annual San Angelo Rodeo proved one thing. These Bronc Busters are tough. These Cowboys proved that right off the bat in the Bareback Riding. Buffalo, Texas Cowboy Cole Reinder hopped on the Bronco, “Cat Nap,” and scored an 86. Later, the Cowboy from Weatherford, Leighton Berry, beat out that score with a lighting ride of his own. On the back of “Rip,” Berry went for 87 points and tied him with the number one spot in the rodeo so far. Later in the Saddle Bronc Riding, a scary moment saw medical personnel rush into the arena when Sterling Crowley took a bad spill off his Bronco. Crowley landed flat on his back and could not get back up. Later, with the assistance of the medical personnel, Crowly proved he was “Cowboy Tough” by walking off the arena floor.Three rides later, after watching his brother limp off, Stephenville Cowboy Jacobs Crowley avenged his brother when he defeated his bronco, “Twisted Cinches,” to score an 83.5. That score catapulted him into the Top 12. San Angelo LIVE!’s Matt Trammell spoke with Crowley and asked him about his mindset after seeing his brother's big fall. It’s the Saddle Bronc Riding, presented by Indeco Industrial Electric.
