Recording notes:
To achieve Randy's "Suicide Solution" tone, I put my 4x12 cabinet in my bathtub on the faucet end, facing inward with the lower right corner of the cab angling down to the bottom of the tub. A SM57 was placed directly in front of the lower right speaker, just off the cone. Another 57 was angled down into the opposite end of the tub at a 45 degree angle directed at the point that the back of the tub starts to curve upward. A room mic was placed in the opposite corner of the bathroom. I turned up the midrange on the amp. All this I feel was very effective in reproducing Randy's cavernous tone! Rhythm guitars are triple tracked. I took some liberty with the reverberated guitar parts at the end of the song...
